Porto so far...

I had an additional rehearsal last week with Royona and i must say it helped my character emerge into herself again, and i've noticed a shift in my characters overall physicality and characteristics and relationship to the floor, i think i've found that want, that something that's driving my character to break free from the past and start out again, beacuse now the movements and the way my character is feeling is making a lot of sense to me too, but it's also given me the want to interact with some of the other characters within the group. However i think through the play that will more than likely happen. But yeah just wanted to say i really enjoyed the rehearsal and just Porto is occupying my mind sooo much ha! hope you're all feeling as enthusiastic, im sure you are :)

I agree and feel that Porto will definitely be a breath taking and thought provoking piece. The additional feedback form the lectures has really helped and challenged my thinking towards physical theatre.
To be open, this module is much harder than ever expected to be. The process so far, I thought I was doing well and what was expected in physical theatre. However, found that I was carrying out the wrong type of physical theatre. I had to take a step back, re evaluate myself and start my journey and process not again, but from another perspective.

All our characters have really come along and developed into such defined and unique individuals. Every character is different; nevertheless they are all at the same place, in one community.
Porto is a fantastic idea and one that all; whether old or young could relate to. Every one has experienced the idea of a journey, the notion of waiting. Whether it was at a hospital, at the airport, waiting in a queue, on the bus, or in the car. There are so many journeys we take every day; this is what makes Porto so exciting. It’s a production for everyone to watch!
